Field Hockey Canada > Field Hockey Canada launches new Donations platform

Online donations made simple with Canada Helps

Donations are a critical part of delivering the services of our national sport organization, especially with regards to our national team programs. Field Hockey Canada is delighted to announce the launch of our new online donation platform. Delivered in conjunction with the trusted Canadian charity Canada Helps, this donation platform, accessed directly from our website is a game-changer for Field Hockey Canada. By transitioning to Canada Helps, we are now able to deliver a purpose-built donation portal that offers the user ease of access, fast disbursements and automated donations receipts. It is embedded into our website.

Susan Ahrens, Field Hockey Canada’s CEO said, “Field Hockey is an amateur sport, operating in an increasingly professional global sporting world. We are proud to be currently ranking 10th (men) and 14th (women) in the FIH world rankings and recognize that to continue our rise as a hockey nation, we need to raise $ 2,000,000 on an annual basis – $1,000,000 for each of our national teams. To do so, we rely heavily on the support of our community and the donations, partnerships and sponsorships generated. This donation portal will provide our kind donors with a user-friendly way of joining our journey.”

The new portal for collecting donations provides a free, all-in-one giving solution where payments can be made through credit card, with the options of both one-time and monthly donations. It will provide automated CRA receipts, which will be emailed directly to our donor once they have made a donation. Following the organization’s Team of Teams launch, Field Hockey Canada will be activating a number of team initiatives over the course of the coming years, mainly in support of our ambitious national teams as they continue their rise up the world rankings in the years to come. Our new portal will support these fundraising campaigns.
