Field Hockey Canada is currently accepting bids for the 2010 FHC National Championships.  Bids are open to Provincial Field Hockey Associations and their affiliated clubs.  Please view the 2010 Bid Application form for bid requirements and timelines.

FHC’s Request for Proposal (RFP)

Field Hockey Canada has received support from Sport Canada for the
development of the FunStix program.  Thus in order to further develop
the curriculum and content for FunStix, Field Hockey Canada (FHC) is
seeking a Contractor who, based on an existing framework, will develop
the curriculum for FHC’s new national mini program FunStix, including
preparing the lesson plans using FHC’s Long Term Athlete Development
(LTAD) stages and making sure fundamental movement skills, such as the
ABCs (agility, balance and coordination), are embedded in the
curriculum…

Roster announced for Australia Tour

Roster announced for Australia Tour

Field Hockey Canada and head coach Alan Brahmst released on Friday the names of sixteen players and six staff who will make up Canada’s national men’s team on their Australian Tour scheduled for July 21st to August 9th, 2009.

The tour will be the second international competition for Canada since winning the Pan American Cup in Chile this past March…

A newly re-drafted 44-match schedule for the 2009 FHC U16 National Championships was officially released today four weeks before the gold medal matches are to be played.  Both the men’s and women’s tournaments will take place at the two-pitch Iceland Fields venue in Mississauga, Ontario.

Women finish 6th overall at CCII

KAZAA, Russia(June 27th, 2009) Belarus upset Canada in the match for the fifth position at the Women’s
Champions Challenge II by winning 2-1. Both teams were eager to win the
encounter and sometimes needed some physical play, especially from the Belarus
side, during the entire match. Umpires Thomas and Kaltypan showed four green,
three yellow and one red cards. Belarus player Yuliya MIKHEICHYK tried to injure
a Canadian player near the end of the match and received the red card for her
offence…
