Hotels in Delhi (.xls)
Note from ICE (14 January) - Kindly note that it is very difficult to pinpoint the location of the hotels. There are few hotels which are near to hotel Le Meridien but then it all depends upon the type of package chosen and availability of the rooms. Once we have the formal booking request along with the package chosen we would be in a better position to advise you. As regard to the cost of match tickets is concncerned I am afraid we do not have the seperate cost for the match tickets at the moment. This would be available on the site which is expected to go live in couple of days. However the package cost forwarded to you (attached above) are inclusive of the match tickets.
Note from FHC (15 January) - Generally transport is very inexpensive in Delhi, but the downtown hotels within 5km of the stadium tend to be 5-star properties with European level pricing. The 3-star Indian hotels will not be what a 3-star hotel is here. A quick search on Hotels.ca indicates that there are a whole range of hotels available for the WC dates. The stadium is right in the city center and this site provides proximity information.
Note from FHC (26 February) - A recent update was provided by Hari Kant in India regarding buying event tickets:
a. For tickets bought in the General Admission or General Admission premium there is no problem. These seats do not require accreditation. Please follow the normal instructions for ticket pick up.
b. For VIP/VVIP tickets, you will need to follow an accreditation procedure.
Thus, we need to determine who is in what situation. New tickets can still be bought online at http://www.ticketgenie.in in the General Admission sections for all Canadians.
