Men’s National Team World Cup Squad Camp Trials

Camp Objectives:

Evaluate the fitness & performance of athletes attending the camp
-
Identify
a broader group of players to lead Canada through the 2010 World Cup
& Commonwealth Games as well as the next Olympic Cycle.

Rank players and communicate national team performance requirements.
Participation & Selection Criteria:

Top athletes who could perform at squad level, or show
strong potential to play for the National Team during the 2012 Olympic
Cycle

Athletes are required to run the Canadian Beep set and
achieve a minimum standard of level 12 to be run on Thursday June 4th
(as potential selection criteria to determine further eligibility for
participation throughout the camp weekend).

Athletes participating are expected to participate in the national Championships for their respective provinces in July

2009
Senior Team, 2008 Junior Team, nationally carded athletes and currently
identified Squad members are all expected to attend.

Provincially nominated athletes from Provincial Sport Organizations
Travel: Each athlete is responsible for their own accommodation, transportation and meals while at the Camp.
