Les hommes et les femmes joueront un tournoi à la ronde d’une semaine débutant samedi, le 18 février. Les équipes ayant terminé première et deuxième au tournoi s’affronteront en finale, et le gagnant méritera sa place aux Olympiques. Ce sera un chemin ardu, mais les billets pour Londres sont à la portée des deux équipes nationales.

Neuf équipes masculines (Royaume-Uni, Pakistan, Allemagne, Pays-Bas, Belgique, Australie, Nouvelle-Zélande, Argentine et Espagne) et neuf équipes féminines (Royaume-Uni, Chine, Corée, Pays-Bas, Allemagne, Nouvelle-Zélande, Australie, États-Unis et Argentine) se sont déjà qualifiées pour Londres lors de tournois continentaux. Au total, six places olympiques sont toujours en contention; trois du côté masculin et trois du côté féminin. Le vainqueur de chaque tournoi de qualification olympique méritera sa participation aux Jeux de Londres 2012. Au total, douze équipes masculines et douze équipes féminines se donnent rendez-vous à Londres, au Riverbank Arena, du 29 juillet au 11 août 2012.
