WNT – USA Training Tour

The Canadian Women’s National Team will be on a training tour from February 13-26, 2018 in preparation for the Commonwealth Games. Team Canada will also face off against Team USA in four test matches. Schedule is below. Please follow along via FIH’s game tracker website and check back here for notes and score updates.

Scheduled Test Matches against USA – February 21, 22, 24, 25

TOUR RECORD: 2-0-0

Game 1 – February 21: CAN 4 – 3 USA
Canada Goal Scorers: Natalie Sourisseau (2), Steph Norlander, Brie Stairs
Game Note: First time in 18 years that Canada has defeated USA in women’s field hockey

Game 2 – February 22: CAN 2 – 1 USA
Canada Goal Scorers: Kate Wright, Steph Norlander
Game Note: Both of Canada’s goals came in the final 10 minutes of the game. Wright scored a field goal in the 50-minute mark and Norlander iced it on a Penalty Corner in the 52nd minute.

Game 3 – February 24: CAN 1 – 2 USA
Canada Goal Scorer: Steph Norlander

Game 4 – February 25: CAN 3 – 3 USA
Canada Goal Scorers: Steph Norlander, Caashia Karringten, Brie Stairs
Game Note: Canada finishes their test series against the USA with a record of 2-1-1
