I played one season for Hawks in grade 4 after being introduced to field hockey through a school program. Not until the start of high school did I restart playing. My mom found out through a friend that the goalie on her son's field hockey team had broken his arm. She suggested that I could try filling in because I had played as a goalie lots in soccer and road hockey growing up. The coaches were tentative to take me because I was 1-2 years younger than the other players and really hadn't played before. They must have been pretty desperate because a week later I was playing in my first field hockey game as a goalie for the U16 Hawks team. I grew on the sport from there.
Walking onto the field for my first international appearance against the USA during the summer of 2011.
In my free time I enjoy playing other sports for recreation with friends. Soccer, rugby and road hockey are my favorites. I also ski all winter long. I love Vancouver and hope to be able to live here in the future for whatever is ahead of me. I hope to study Commerce next. My future goal is to play on the Senior National Team and represent my country at major tournaments.
