My parents are both very involved in sport and they introduced me to field hockey as a young child. I first started playing in a spring league, in Victoria, at the age of 5.
My proudest moment was in Uruguay, as a member of the U17 Pan Am Team. When we beat Chile in the semi-finals, and moved on to play Argentina in the gold-medal game, I got a sense of how special it is to play for your country. Although we did not successfully overcome Argentina, winning the silver medal, it is definitely the highlight of my career thus far.
In my spare time, I really enjoy cooking and baking, shopping, watching movies and seeing my friends. As well, I have always been a multi-sport athlete, so I still find joy in playing soccer, basketball and running. I have two parents who are both heavily involved in sport and they have been great role models for me. I also have a brother who runs cross country at the varsity level. In terms of goals, my dream is to make the Olympics with the Team. On the education side of things, I want to graduate from University with a science degree.

As a young athlete, I thought soccer would be my sport of choice. I looked up to Kara Lang, when she made the Senior National Soccer Team at the ripe age of 15! Even though I have decided to focus on field hockey, I continue to be inspired by her.
"Somewhere behind the athlete you've become and the hours of practice and the coaches who pushed you is a little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back... play for her."
-Mia Hamm
