Sports Information Two-time member of the Commonwealth Games team (7th in 2002, 8th in 2006)...finished 5th at the 2007 Pan American Games in Brazil...member of the Canadian National team since 2002….career highlights include being the 1998, 1999 and 2001 CIAU/CIS National champions...first international competition was the 2002 Commonweath Games, when Canada played South Africa…coached by Sally Bell since 2005 (previous coaches include Hash Kanjee at University of British Columbia, Butch Worth, Robin D'Abreo)...has been with Meralomas since 2002...suffered a left thumb ligament injury in 2000, missing 3 months, and suffers from chronic sacro-iliac instability since 2005...was first introduced to the sport at age 9 when a friend on her soccer team invited her to join the field hockey team...awarded the 2001-2002 Marilyn Pomfret Award (most outstanding graduating female athlete at the University of British Columbia)...
Human Interest Attended Collingwood High School in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada…graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in General Biology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver…has been employed since 2007 as Board of Directors and Curriculum Project Developer for Bodwell Summer Programs...hopes to continue her career in Program Development and/or Youth Education...engaged to Damian Nesbitt, who is the Director of Operations at Avigilon - leading provider of high definition surveillance systems...mother Janet is a retired financial planner...father Gavin is a Q.C. lawyer, with Faskin, Martineau, DuMoulin LLP...has 2 brothers (Gavin, Mark)...enjoys travelling, hiking, coaching and whitewater kayaking...favourites include fruit, berries, fruit, professional basketball athlete Michael Jordan, basketball, the movies Life as a House, Grease; and the music of Bloc Party, Pearl Jam, Shins, Jack Johnson....
