Overview

The Canadian Women’s National Field Hockey Team played four international friendlies versus the United States Field Hockey Program from April 4-10th, 2008.   These games against the USA represented a key opportunity for the Canadian Women to prepare to take on the world at the Women’s World Field Hockey Olympic Qualifier, April 26-May 4, at the University of Victoria.

The Canadians first played two matches versus a competitive US Development Team before they went up against the US National Team, international ranked 10th.  The latter matches replicated the toughest level of competition the Canadians will see in their Qualifier Tournament.  After the matches against Canada, the US National Team travels to Kazan, Russia, April 19-27th, to earn their spot to Beijing at their Olympic Qualification tournament.
