The organizing committee for Pan Am cup has been announced.

Teams Announced For The 2nd Pan American Cup.

The Pan American Hockey Federation has announced the names of the countries that will participate in the women's and men's 2nd Pan American Cup competitions in 2004. The men's competition, scheduled for London, Ontario, Canada, May 12 - 23, will feature 12 countries, namely Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay, USA and Venezuela. The format of the tournament will be two pools of six with crossover and classification games.

The winner of each tournament will qualify for the FIH World Cup in 2006. The previous Pan American Cups were won by Argentina ( women ) and Cuba ( men ).

Excitement Builds
As Chairperson for the 2004 Pan American Cup Tournament, Mr. Raphael Fernandes, and his Co-Chairperson Mr. Derek Sandison, are very confident that all the energetic and enthusiastic Field Hockey lovers will be as excited, and committed to this challenge in staging this International Event. Meetings were held in London on the 21st of October to firm up plans at the University of Western.

Call For Volunteers
The 2004 Pan American Cup is the Pan American Continental Qualifier for the 11th Men’s World Cup in 2006. This event will not only showcase the talent and skill of the players and officials, but will also portray the International Diversity that the volunteers and their families will share and offer, in welcoming North and South America to this stage.

Chair of 2004 Pan Am Cup announced
John Green, FHC President and champion of FHC's International Hosting Plan, is pleased to announce that Mr. Raphael Fernandes has accepted the challenge and will Chair the 2004 Men's Pan American Cup scheduled tentatively from 12-23 May, at TD Waterhouse Stadium in London, Ontario.
