a few very important things that you should be aware of regarding
the High Performance Program . . . .

Hockey Canada's values are Caring, Excellence and Justice. A copy
of FHC's new Code of Conduct can be obtained at the National Office
( fhc@fieldhockey.ca

Did
you know that there
is a "members only" section on the FHC website that is password
protected for all members of the high performance program. Passwords
can be obtained from the National Coaches or from the National Office.
Did
you know there is an
orientation handbook for
athletes. Its main purpose is to provide relevant high performance
information to FHC's high performance athletes. It covers most things
about the HP program including some important policies. It can be
found on the "members only" section of the web site.
Did
you know that ALL identified
national high performance athletes (men, women, junior, senior)
should complete a profile form to register for the national office
database. This profile form can be obtained from the national office ( fhc@fieldhockey.ca

nominates top high performance athletes to receive individual funding
support from Sport Canada's Athlete Assistance Program. Sport Canada

very important for athletes to familiarize themselves with the Canadian
Policy on Doping in Sport adopted from the Canadian Centre for Ethics

of any athlete on restricted or banned substances to complete a
medication declaration form also found on the CCES website.

performance athletes must be insured with the Canadian Athlete Insurance
Program (CAIP) and must pay an annual fee. This is administered
by the National Office.
