Sports Information	Stephen represented BC in the Canadian National Championships in 2006 and placed third... also earned bronze in the 2008 National Championships as a member of Team Saskatchewan... suffered a broken tibia and fibula in August of 2006 that put him in casts for nine months and on crutches for ten... first started playing field hockey at age five with the Surrey Sharks.
Human Interest	Stephen was raised mostly in Victoria and is a graduate of Claremont Secondary School... lives on campus at the University of British Columbia and is beginning his first year in the School of Human Kinetics... mother Debi is a pharmacist; brother Sean plays field hockey for the University of Victoria Vikes; father Mike played for Canada from '75 to '82... favourites include running, band Pink Floyd, classic rock, movies Superbad and The Matrix, and cheeseburgers.
