About the Program

Field Hockey Canada annually organizes, with the assistance of its provincial associations and members, four men's and women's tournaments under the National Championships Program (NCP): Senior Outdoor, Under-16 Outdoor, Senior Indoor, and Under-19 Indoor.  These tournaments are meant to showcase the best field hockey talent from across the country as well as celebrate the sport throughout the local community.

Member provinces are open to send competing teams to these events.  All participants, including athletes, officials, and coaches, must be members in good standing with Field Hockey Canada.  Please check out the Guilding Principles and Policy section on the links above for more information on the minimum requirements for these individuals to participate in NCP events.

FHC understands that the National Championships are a key tool in facilitating the promotion of hockey across Canada.  Access to these events for provincial association members and individual players is key to the program's success and sustainability.  This is why FHC is committed to obtaining long-term partnership agreements with the private sector in order to support our members' quest of participating on the nation's biggest stage.  For information on how you can support your provincial team through fundraising initiatives please contact them.
