Brienne Stairs has quickly established herself as one of Canada’s most prolific goal scorers since making her debut in 2011. Notching six goals at the 2011 Pan Am Games and cracking the top ten goal scorers worldwide in 2014, she is a threat every time she takes to the field.
Stairs was part of Canada’s silver medal run at the 2013 Pan American Cup and in 2015 she was part of the Canadian team that won bronze at the 2015 Pan American Game in Toronto Ontario, the first time since 1999 the Canadian women took home a medal at the event.
While attending the University of Guelph, Stairs won back-to-back Liz Hoffman Awards in 2009 and 2010 as the CIS MVP in women’s field hockey. She also helped the Gryphons win their first CIS medals, taking silver in 2007 and bronze in 2010.
Stairs’ sister Tegan is also a part of the Canadian Women’s National Program.
