  • "I started field hockey at age 8 when my mum put me in every sport she could think of; my first team was the Bumblebees. I loved it and stuck with it"
  • Represented British Columbia at the National Championships since age 14 (1981 to present) with mostly first place finishes, including Gold Medals at the 1985 Canada Summer Games (St. John, New Brunswick) and the 1987 Western Canada Games
  • 1994 FHC Coach of the Year (Domestic category)
  • 1994 and 1996 Premier's Athletic Award (top female player in British Columbia)
  • 1995 BC Player of the Year Award
