- First introduced to field hockey in her backyard by a school friend, Nicole
Milkovitch (sister of National Team player Peter), who brought over a ball and
two "very strange looking" sticks
- Started playing competitively in high school teams in grade 8
- Started playing in British Columbia Provincial Teams in 1988
- Won Gold (1990), Silver (1991) and Bronze (1994) with University of
British Columbia at C.I.A.U. Championships
- In 1994, named to the Canada West All-Star team, the 2nd All-Canadian team
and Academic All-Canadian
- Toured South Africa (1993) and Australia (1995) with U.B.C.

- "Thrill of a lifetime" (given a chance to do anything in the
world): buy a boat and sail around the world.
In sport: play in the 2000 Olympic Games.
