  • "My mom played field hockey for the Canadian National Team, so she got me involved in field hockey when I was very young. I started playing for Hawks when I was 8 years old. In the summer of 2000, I competed in the BC Summer Games and my team won the gold medal. Also in 2000, I played for BC in a 3 game series against the U.S. under 16 team. In the summer of 1999, I played for BC in a 3 game series against the U.S. under 16 team in San Diego, as well as competing in the 1999 California State Games in which we placed third."
