Calgary and Surrey are scheduled to host the 2019 outdoor National Championships

Field Hockey Canada is excited to announce the 2019 national championships dates and locations. After being located in Toronto, in 2018, the tournament moves westward and will be split over two locations over the course of a month.

U15 National Championships: 23 – 28th July in Calgary, Alberta
U18 National Championships: 3 – 9th July, Surrey, BC
U23 National Championships: 28th June – 1st July, Surrey, BC

INDOOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Field Hockey Canada is thrilled to announce the inaugural Canadian Indoor National Championships to take place in 2019. Field Hockey Canada recognizes the importance of the indoor game across the country and is committed to building structures and a competitive model that is both inclusive and recognizes regional differences and needs.

In 2019 we will launch the Indoor Regional and National Championships:

Men’s Western Canada Championships: 15–17th February – Calgary, Alberta
Women’s Western Canada Championships: 8–10th March – Calgary, Alberta
National Indoor Championships: 22-24th March – Toronto, Ontario

Note that winners of the Western Championships will advance to the National Championships which are being held in Toronto, Ontario on 22–24th March 2019 and includes the participation of a men’s and women’s team from Guyana as well.

With FHC and our member-leads currently engaged in a STRATEGIC PLANNING process to fulfil our One Team: One System vision, please note that following the 2019 championships system evolution will provide competitive pathways in both indoor and outdoor through regional championship and national championships.
